What's the true story on this car with the chrome fins, and what is it
worth?

Looks like somebody went to a lot of work restoring this hawk including
putting the '56-"58 parking lights on it and doing a lot of chroming
including underneath.. Read that "A Lot Of Money" to be different..Low body
number but not a "Experimental " car in my mind. Anybodys guess what it will
bring.?????
I once owned a "55 Speedster with body # 5 but it wasn't experimental.

There are so many false statements in that listing that I don't know
where to start.

It looks like there is a missing chrome strip at the end of the left
side by the gas flap, and someone ..did a funky mural in that same area.
Total production figure apears to be correct. regards,Sheldon

What car where??
I wish people who discuss some car on the interenet or Ebay would include
the URL instead of making everyone do a search. If you are already looking
at the web page, drag and highlight the web address. Then hit "Control C" .
When you go to the newsgroup, open New Post and with the cursor in the
message area hit "Control V" and it will be pasted in the message. Takes
only a few seconds.
Thanks

Alex

Dang Alex, you're almost as lazy as I am. <G> I, too, was waiting for
someone to post a link.
BTW, that was a great video of your car on the dyno.

What production figures appear to be correct? There were 3,939 Hawks buit in
1960 according to Encyclopedia of American cars.
